Everyone needs to do their part when it comes to recycling and keeping our planet green, not only for our generation but for many to come.

The Green Leaf Award acknowledges outstanding environmental contributions by schools, groups, and individuals within the education system for the positive impact they have made on the Greater Miramichi Region.

Examples of initiatives can include championing of the School Recycling Program, composting, encouraging the three R’s, environmental protection, awareness initiatives, etc.

Three categories are available for the following groups:

  1. School - A school within the Greater Miramichi Region that has shown outstanding dedication to environmental initiatives is eligible to receive a Green Leaf Award

  2. Group - One group or club within a school from the Greater Miramichi Region that has shown outstanding dedication to environmental initiatives is eligible to receive a Green Leaf Award.

  3. Individual - One individual either a staff member or student from the Greater Miramichi Region that has shown outstanding dedication to the environment will receive the Green Leaf Award.
